Places Around Bhimashankar
Hanuman Lake(हनुमान तळे) :
A lake is around 2Kms. away from main Bhimashankar Temple. At the lake there is two main temples, Hanuman Temple and Anjani Mata Temple. Long long ago there is an Ashram of Jabhalya Rishi.
Gupt Bhima and Sakshi-Vinayak Temple(गुप्त भीमा आणि साक्षी विनायक मंदिर) :
Gupt Bhima and Sakshi-Vinayak Temple is also 2Kms. away from main temple of Bhimashaankar. There is a way from forest and you have to walk all the 2Kms distance from forest. The Sakshi-Vinayak temple is the small temple of Lord Ganesh. The main thing at Gupt Bhima is the little bigger Bhima River and a smaller waterfall that continuously falling water on Shivlinga.

Mahadev Van is the large garden and 500m away from Bhimashankar Bus Stand. There are various types of plants are planted in this garden. The garden is now Under Development.
Nagphani Point(नागफणी पॉईंट ) :
Nagphani Point is 500m away from Hanuman Lake. You have to climb a smaller hill to reach Nagphani Point. At Nagphani Point a nice view of Kokan and Kalavantin Mahal.
Bhima River Ugamsthan(भीमा नदी उगमस्थान) :
Bhima River Udgmsthan is the palce where Bhima River Generates. A small “Kund” means well of water that is starting point of Bhima River. The Bhima River Udgamsthan is 50m away from stairs that goes down towards Bhimashankar Temple
Kondhwal Waterfall :
When you comes towards Bhimashanakar Approx. 3 Kms. turn right side road named as “Kondhwal Phata”. From there Kondhawal Waterfall is nearly 5-6 Km away. Kodhwal Waterfall is also known as “Bird Point”. There is various types of Birds are present in the “Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary”.
Shree Bhimashankar Devalay Akhand Dhuna :
This Akhand Dhuna is at right side of main Bhimashanakar temple.In the Dhuna, You get “Vibhuti” of Shiv Shankar Bhagwan. The Dhuna is always burning from when it was created, that’s why it is called “Akhand Dhuna”.
Bhaka Devi :
Bhaka Devi Point is located at 500 m. from MTDC Resort. At that point a lake of water
Koteshwar Mahadev :
Koteshwar Mahadev is nearly 6-7 Kms. away from Bhimashanakar Temple. This Point is 4-5 Kms. from “Gupt Bhima”. All way is from Forest and you will have to walk all that distance. There are Crores of “Tirtha’s”, that means “Koti” in Marathi, that’s why it is called as “Koteshwar” . Koteshwar Mahadev is a temple of bhagwan Shiva at village named as “Bhorgiri”.
Vanspati Point :
Vanspati Point is the part of “Mahadev Van” garden. There are various types of plants (Vanspati) are present in that location, therefore it is known as “Vanspati Point”. One more thing is that you can watch an awesome view of “Kokan” from there.
